Veteran singer Daddy Showkey has credited Grammy-winning artist Wizkid with introducing him to Instagram.
During a video call with music producer Maleek Berry shared on social media on Tuesday, Daddy Showkey recalled that a visit to Wizkid’s home a few years ago led to how he got introduced to Instagram.
He explained that he discovered he was trending online after Wizkid made a post about him, which piqued his curiosity and led him to learn more about how Instagram worked.
Daddy Showkey shared that it was Wizkid who first introduced him to Instagram, taking the time to explain the platform and even assisting him in setting up his account. He further mentioned that KCee later stepped in to guide him on how to use the app more efficiently.
Daddy Showkey expressed gratitude to both Wizkid and KCee for their support, acknowledging that their help enabled him to reach a wider audience and better engage with fans online.
“I had a special call today from @maleekberry and I shared a story of how @wizkidayo introduced me and also helped me open my Instagram account, and how @iam_kcee also shared knowledge on how to navigate the app,” he wrote on Instagram. “Life is about learning, and applying the knowledge is key to the life we live now.”
