VIDEO; “It’s Something I’m Working On” — Tacha Hints At Political Ambition

Reality TV star Anita Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has revealed her interest in joining politics, expressing disappointment with the state of governance in Rivers State.

In an interview with media personality Ebuka, posted on YouTube on Sunday, the former Big Brother Naija housemate, who hails from Port Harcourt, lamented the lack of progress in her home state despite its immense potential.

Tacha emphasised the need for increased youth participation in politics and governance.

“When I look at other states like Abuja and Lagos, and I see how far they’ve come, and with the potential Rivers State has, they’re not trying to exploit it. It’s just very disappointing because there are so many youths, so many talents there, so many things that if the government can see light into, a lot can happen,” she said.

Tacha explained that simply criticising the government is not enough, and true change can only come from within the system.

According to her, involvement is more impactful than staying on the sidelines.

She noted, “It is something I’m working on. I’ll have to make it 70% done before I can talk about it, because it does not make sense granting interviews like this, talking about the government without being involved.”

Though she didn’t provide full details of her plans, Tacha’s comments strongly suggest she is preparing to enter the political space once her groundwork is complete.

Aside from politics, Tacha also shared her intention to challenge a Guinness World Record. She revealed plans to attempt the record for the most makeup applications in 24 hours, targeting a goal of 150 people.
