The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office announced this in a statement on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

The agency said Ugochukwu Chukwudi was booked with 41 counts of p0.rn0graphy involving juveniles under the age of 13, and another 23 counts of p0.rn0graphy involving older children who are still minors.

The TPSO said its detectives, working as part of a multi-agency Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force, began investigating in March the uploading of illicit videos depicting sexually exploited children to an online cloud service.

The agency said investigators “were able to identify Chukwudi as the person uploading the material.” He was taken into custody on Monday (March 31).

The TPSO did not explain how it linked Chukwudi to the video uploads, but said an analysis of devices he had at the time of his arrest revealed 64 illegal video files containing “child sexual abuse material, with a majority of the victims being under the age of 13.”

The TPSO said the task force is part of its partnership with Attorney General Liz Murrill’s office and that the Hammond Police Department assisted on the case.
