Nigerian rapper Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has admitted that he struggles to balance his love life, family, and entertainment career.
While speaking with Chude Jideonwo, Falz revealed that he finds it hard to find someone who genuinely likes him, beyond the fame and wealth.
The rapper also expressed that because of his very demanding career, he usually has troubles sustaining a healthy relationship.
“I’ve not found anybody who likes me. In all sincerity, it’s incredibly tough. It’s incredibly tough to sort of have that. When I say that, I mean a healthy love/ family life and being in entertainment. Right. It’s incredibly tough. Not knowing how to navigate that, coupled with feeling like I don’t want to just scatter things up, has resulted in me just sort of staying away. You know, some people will say he’s running away from commitment. Yes. Is it? To an extent, I wouldn’t lie, yes. Yes,” he said.
Falz also noted the importance of being real with oneself. He stated that because he fears messing things up, he usually practices caution a lot.
“But it’s one thing to know that you are not prepared for commitment. It’s another thing to deceive yourself that you are, and mess things up both for yourself and the other person. So it’s me just being cautious. Too cautious, maybe, possibly. I would admit that could be. But yeah, I would say it’s me just being cautious,” Falz said.
