American tennis player Sachia Vickery has revealed she turned to OnlyFans as a financial lifeline after struggling to make ends meet on the professional tennis circuit.
Speaking on TMZ Live, the 29-year-old admitted that her earnings from the adult subscription platform have quickly surpassed what she made during her career on court, highlighting the financial challenges players outside the sport’s elite face.
Vickery, currently ranked 559 in the world, said she has earned $2.1 million over 14 years of professional tennis, a figure that sounds substantial but was largely consumed by expenses such as coaches, physiotherapy, and travel. “Life outside the Top 100 is bleak,” she said, adding that her OnlyFans venture has finally given her financial security.
She explained that she started the platform after a shoulder injury sidelined her from competition. However, she was quick to stress that her content does not cross into nudity. “It’s clean, just lingerie, nothing that breaks the rulebook,” Vickery said.
The move has sparked debate within tennis circles, but Vickery maintains it was a necessary choice, underscoring what she described as the sport’s failure to adequately compensate players outside the highest rankings.
