Kidnappers Involved In Car Crash After Ransom Pickup In Nasarawa

A group of suspected kidnappers who had just collected ransom money met an unexpected twist of fate on Monday morning when their getaway vehicle was involved in a crash at Angwan Mayo, Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Eyewitnesses said the gang was speeding away from the scene after securing payment from relatives of their captives when their vehicle lost control and veered off the road.

Security operatives, including soldiers and police officers, rushed to the site within minutes, taking charge of the situation and securing the area.

Local residents commended the swift intervention of security forces, stressing that their prompt response prevented the suspects from vanishing into surrounding communities.

As of press time, authorities had not released information regarding arrests, the amount of ransom recovered, or the condition of those inside the vehicle.
