Police arrests husband after finding gun in his wife’s bag during stop and search

The police in Lagos state have arrested a man in the Ipaja area of the state after a pistol was found on his wife.

CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed this to newsmen, mentioned that the wife and another lady were stopped by the police for a stop and search, He said the search led to the discovery of the semi-automatic pistol.

‘’‘See these police officers harassing two ladies, insisting on searching their bags…’

That would have been the narrative.

After a cursory and non-intrusive look at the contents of their bags, this semi-automatic pistol was found in their possession by police officers of Ipaja Division.

One of the ladies led the police to the owner of the firearm – her husband. Case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.

One less illegal firearm in circulation.
