Two individuals have died following a multi-vehicle crash at the Siun Junction on the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway.
According to report, Babatunde Akinbiyi, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, explained on Tuesday that the accident occurred when a truck lost control and crashed into several other vehicles.
He stated that the accident, which resulted in the deaths of a motorcyclist and a female passenger, took place on Monday.
He listed the vehicles involved in the crash as a car with registration number KTU 152 JB, a Mazda bus bearing plate number LSR 345 YK, a motorcycle with plate number KNN 515 VD, and a truck registered as T5582 LA.
He said, “A fatal multiple RTA happened at the Siun junction along the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway.
“According to an eyewitness, the accident was caused by brake failure on the path of the truck, which led to a collision with other vehicles and the motorcycle.
“A male motorcyclist and the female passenger he was carrying died in the accident.”
