Manchester United and Brentford have reached an agreement on a deal for forward player, Bryan Mbeumo ahead of the 2025/26 season.

This is good news for Manchester United supporters after a long wait since they confirmed the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves at the end of the 2024/25 season. The Cameroon international could undergo a medical with the club before Ruben Amorim’s squad travels to the United States on Tuesday for their pre-season tour.

Manchester United submitted their first bid which was valued at £55m at the start of June. They also failed to reach an agreement with a second bid of £62.5m at the end of that month.

The Bees were happy with the Red Devils latest offer, which is worth an initial £65m and could rise to £70m with £5m of add-ons.

The forward player who joined the Bees in 2019 from Troyes, will become Brentford’s biggest sale in the history of the club. He will be a huge addition to Manchester United bringing his wealth of experience to Old Trafford.

How many goals did Bryan Mbuemo score for Brentford?

Bryan Mbeumo has scored a total of 65 goals in 222 appearances for Brentford across all competitions as of May 25, 2025. From 2021/22 to 2024/25, Mbeumo scored 42 Premier League goals in 136 appearances.
