Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has stunned fans with a painful revelation—six years after surviving a violent attack, remnants of bullets are still lodged in her head.
The 39-year-old actress took to Instagram on Monday, sharing an emotional update accompanied by videos showing her undergoing medical scans and treatment. In the post, she disclosed that her health had taken a recent downturn, prompting several hospital visits and tests.
“The last two weeks have been extremely tough,” Okorie wrote.

“I’ve been in and out of hospitals, undergoing multiple tests. I haven’t been feeling well, and my doctor advised complete bed rest. People really do take good health for granted.”
The actress revealed that scans showed several bullet fragments still embedded in her skull—a painful reminder of the 2019 shooting incident she narrowly survived.

“Every now and then, more fragments still surface. But at the end of the day, it’s not by power or might, but by God’s mercy,”she added, expressing deep gratitude for her survival.
Okorie first went public about the harrowing ordeal in December 2019, claiming she was ambushed by armed assailants she described as “assassins.” According to her, the attackers opened fire for over 30 minutes while she and her team received no help—only divine intervention.

“The bullets hit my head multiple times. We would have died that night if not for God,”she said then.
In 2021, the actress revisited the story, stating that bullet pieces were still surfacing from her head and suggesting the attack was a result of jealousy and rivalry within the Nollywood industry.
Okorie remains resolute in her stance, refusing to forgive those she believes orchestrated the attack, as well as bloggers whom she accuses of spreading misinformation about the event.
Despite her ongoing health struggles, the actress remains grateful and faithful.
