Nairobi – Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has started making political moves ahead of the upcoming 2027 General Election.

Other leaders who are attending the meeting include former Cabinet secretaries Justin Muturi, Mithika Linturi and Eugene Wamalwa. Also in the meeting is Martha Karua and former Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Mukhisa Kituyi.
Confirming the meeting , Gachagua shared a photo of the nine leaders, where he welcomed Matiang’i, Muturi and Linturi to the opposition team. According to Gachagua, the team is determined to liberate Kenya from the Kenya Kwanza Alliance’s administration’s poor leadership. “The team to liberate Kenya gets bigger every day. Welcome, Dr. Fred Matiangi, Hon. JB Muturi and Hon. Mithika Linturi. You are on the right side of history,” Gachagua said.
In a tweet, Kalonzo also said the former Interior CS and Muturi had joined the team that will liberate Kenya. “A very good morning and welcome onboard. This is the team that will komboa Kenya,” Kalonzo said.
