Atalanta claimed an important victory over AC Milan on Sunday night as they continue their chase for the Serie A title.
Lookman, who has been their key player, continued to draw blanks for Atalanta and has gone five games without scoring a goal in Serie A.
However, the last season’s Europa League winners fought hard to claim a 1-0 victory over AC Milan.
As it happened
Samuel Chukwueze started from the bench for AC Milan, while Ademola Lookman, on the other hand, led the attack for Atalanta.
Both teams failed to produce a goal in the first half and created few chances heading into the halftime break.
Entering into the second half, Raoul Bellanova got the first goal of the game for Atalanta from a cross which he coolly converted.
Both teams limited themselves to just three shots on target in total in the game. The visitors held on until the final whistle, claiming a narrow 1-0 victory on the night.
The result puts Atalanta seven points behind league leaders Inter Milan after they lost during the day.
