Asafa Powell was a proud father at his son’s sports day in school, watching his young champ storm to victory in his sprint race as fans had called out Usain Bolt and Justin Gatlin’s kids.

“When you tell your kids to remember who your father is. Unfortunately, Amieke (his eldest son) didn’t get to run because of the rain, and else would have been the same outcome. 😅😅 YELLOW HOUSE!!!!!,” he wrote as the caption.
Powell, who is highly regarded as one of the greatest sprinters in Jamaican history, was nicknamed the ‘Sub-10s King’ during his active years, having run below the 10s mark over ninety times – the highest by a sprinter in history.
He’s also a two-time Olympic gold medallist and a five-time world championships medallist. Record-wise, Powell broke the 100m world record on multiple occasions before his 9.74s was eventually smashed by Bolt with 9.69s at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. However, his personal best of 9.72s remains the fourth-fastest on the all-time list.

The track icon retired as one of Bolt and American Gatlin’s biggest rivals, and the legends have already made a promise that their sons will be rivals and rule the sprint world during their years.
From the video posted, which has garnered several reactions from athletes, fans, and track enthusiasts, they’ve jokingly agreed that Powell’s son is leading in the ‘rivalry race’ and Bolt and Gatlin’s sons have a short time to respond.
Likewise, many couldn’t help but acknowledge Azhaf’s running form and discipline, which shows his father has been doing lots of coaching behind the scenes.
